Since the mid-1970's, Bill Collings has been working towards building the most consistently outstanding instruments available. After establishing the Collings name in the national market in the early 90's he has reached that goal, yet continues to work hard to make them better. From their shop in Austin, Texas, Collings now makes flattop, archtop, and electric guitars, mandolins, and ukuleles, each built to nearly unmatched standards. In addition to their sound and playability, Collings Guitars are sought after for their durability, a fact represented well on stages worldwide. Keith Richards, Lyle Lovett, Pete Townshend, Emmylou Harris, Bill Frisell, Andy Summers, David Crosby, Patti Smith, David Bromberg, and Joni Mitchell are just a few of the legendary names that play Collings.
