Gibson Guitar LG3 Used 1956
There are very audible and tactile reasons these guitars are so popular with the singer-songwriter, Americana, blues and country crowd. Gibson really did create guitars in this series that have become synonymous with classic woody Americana. This particular guitar is a really well cared for example. The neck alone makes me want to take it home myself, it just feels so right in the hand, full and roadblock free. I'd get on with other web descriptions but I'm having too much fun here. This LG3 conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the year in which it was made; including mahogany back and sides, natural finish Sitka spruce top, large J-200 style pickguard, Brazilian rosewood bar bridge with 2 pearl dots and nylon saddle, 2-ply top purfling, and plastic top and back binding, and no back stripe. The neck is mahogany with rosewood fingerboard, large dot inlays, gold silk-screened “Gibson” block logo, and Kluson single line tuners with replacement buttons. The non-original hardshell case is in good condition. This instrument appears to be in excellent original condition. There are no cracks or any evidence of structural problems. The lacquer finish is in good condition with only minimal play wear and minor checking. The fretboard is very clean and there is only minimal fret wear. The neck angle is good and the saddle height is ideal. The guitar plays beautifully and is professionally set-up with very comfortable action.
With new TKL alligator hard case.
