Godin Guitars

Godin guitars are assembled in Berlin, New Hampshire with the necks and bodies being made in La Patrie, Quebec out of 95% Canadian tonewoods. They are mostly known for acoustic guitars lines which include : Seagull, Simon & Patrick, Norman, LaPatrie and Art & Lutherie. They make very dependable entry to intermediate level instruments. We searched for years to find a line we could stand behind in terms of tone and playability at a modest price point and found no better than Godin.

The La Patrie Concert is a step up instrument that has a lot of class for the price. The solid cedar top paired with the mahogany back and sides give this instrument a tone that's a cut above beginning instruments, and the gold hardware and thin high gloss finish make for a very trim player.

The La Patrie Etude is an excellent choice for the beginning classical guitarist. It has all the features to get a player started off on the right foot (or the right fret, perhaps): a solid cedar soundboard, high density Tusq® nut and saddle, and solid rosewood bridge and fingerboard.

This Folk model is particularly suited to the player who likes to have it all: a strummable, pickable guitar that has a solid presence but also a light enough setup and enough character to be a quite decent finger picker. Overall, this is a good fit for the beginner that wants to go in a lot of directions.
