Whetstone Guitars

We are very proud to introduce you to Whetstone Guitars. Scott Hausman has been building musical instruments in the Brattleboro area since 1975 when he studied guitar making with Gib Taylor and Michael Gurian at Marlboro College. Following graduation, Scott worked as a shop foreman at Gurian Guitars, and he’s also worked in various capacities as part of the team at Froggy Bottom Guitars. Scott is now Director of the Whetstone School of Lutherie where he teaches the guitar, mandolin, and ukulele building courses. Whetstone guitars, mandolins and ukuleles harken to an era past when old world hand craftsmanship was central to the construction of any fine instrument.

This Whetstone Guitars Dreadnought is a steal for handmade quality, attention to detail, and tone. It's a very special thing when it all comes together. This is the biggest-sounding Whetstone we've heard yet. Big and balanced bass, and round, pleasing trebles make it a really enjoyable flatpicking instrument.
