The Charles Fox H12 Sierra has a build formula intended to satisfy the discerning fingerstyle player with a need for a complex modern tone. Visually this guitar is contemporary and striking - fairly fitting of C. Fox's MO. The body, fretboard and headstock are all bound in figured maple and finished with 8-ply purfling with a stripe of teal in the center. In the finishing touches, like the sharpness of the points on the headstock, or the meticulousness around the bottom strap button, the finesse of the luthier really shines through. This H12 Sierra has Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top… usually a fairly ho-hum or typical combination, but from this builder it’s nothing short of surprising.
Great bass support with pleasing harmonic content. The previous owner definitely gave this guitar lots of playing time as it sounds very open and quick to respond.
